Australian pink bubblegum variant chalice.

This Australian pink bubblegum variant chalice pairs a warm, gold-orange body with soft pink undertones and two striking blue-centred eyes where new growth is forming. The texture is classic chalice — a ruffled, almost coral-reef-in-miniature look — and the contrast between the warm body colour and the cool blue centres gives it real depth under tank lighting.

Chalice corals encrust outward over time, so those blue eyes will likely multiply as the colony spreads and forms new growth points.

Care basics

  • Lighting: Low to moderate. Chalices can bleach under overly intense light, so this one does best lower in the tank.
  • Flow: Low to moderate, indirect. Strong direct flow can damage the tissue.
  • Water chemistry: Stable calcium, alkalinity and magnesium matter more than chasing exact numbers.
  • Feeding: Not required, but it will take fine coral foods if offered.
  • Placement: Give it space from neighbouring corals, as with other chalices.

Supplied as a 2–3cm frag on a plug approx 2.5cm.
