Avatar Chalice (Frag)
Avatar Chalice carries a vivid, almost glowing neon-green body scattered with small golden-yellow “eyes” — a scattered, bioluminescent-looking pattern that gives the piece its name. The swirling, richly textured surface typical of chalice corals is on full display here, with those bright yellow points breaking up the green in a genuinely eye-catching way.
Chalice corals grow slowly but steadily once settled, encrusting outward over time, and like other chalices this one extends short sweeper tentacles at night to catch food — worth giving it a little breathing room from its neighbours.
Care basics
- Lighting: Low to moderate. Chalices can bleach under overly intense light, so this one does best lower in the tank.
- Flow: Low to moderate, indirect. Strong direct flow can damage the tissue.
- Water chemistry: Stable calcium, alkalinity and magnesium matter more than chasing exact numbers. Temperature 25°C.
- Feeding: Not required, but it will take fine coral foods if offered.
- Placement: Give it space from neighbouring corals due to its sweeper tentacles.
Supplied as a 2–3cm frag on a plug approx 2.5cm.
