Lava Flow Chalice

Lava Flow Chalice pairs a soft pink-purple base with several bright, glowing orange-gold patches breaking through the surface, giving the impression of molten lava flowing across the coral. The swirling, richly textured surface typical of chalice corals is on full display, with those warm patches standing out sharply against the cooler purple tones.

This is a fully cultured frag, grown on rather than freshly cut.

Care basics

• Lighting: Low to moderate. Chalices can bleach under overly intense light, so this one does best lower in the tank.
• Flow: Low to moderate, indirect. Strong direct flow can damage the tissue.
• Water chemistry: Stable calcium, alkalinity and magnesium matter more than chasing exact numbers.
• Feeding: Not required, but it will take fine coral foods if offered.
• Placement: Give it space from neighbouring corals, as with other chalices.
