Multicolour Ricordea Yuma Mushroom
This Ricordea Yuma carries a warm golden-orange body covered in a dense scatter of small, blue-tipped nodules — the kind of fine, jewel-like texture Ricordea are prized for, especially under blue lighting where those tips really glow. Yuma-type Ricordea tend to run larger and more textured than the common variety, and colour can vary noticeably between individual polyps, which is part of what makes them a favourite for collectors chasing something a bit different.
This is a WYSIWYG listing: you receive the exact single polyp pictured, attached to a small rock, not a representative example.
Care basics
- Lighting: Low to moderate. Ricordea can bleach out or lose vibrancy under overly intense light, so lower placement usually works best.
- Flow: Low. Gentle flow only — heavy flow can cause the polyp to close up or detach.
- Water chemistry: Stable calcium, alkalinity and magnesium matter more than chasing exact numbers.
- Feeding: Not required, but target feeding small meaty foods can noticeably boost size and colour over time.
- Placement: Peaceful and doesn’t need much space from neighbours, though it can slowly creep across rockwork over time.
Supplied as 1 polyp attached to a small rock.
