Candy Cane Mint Green Coral
This Mint Green Candy Cane (Caulastrea) offers a softer, cooler palette than the more common bright green strains — pale, minty-toned heads that still hold their own under decent lighting without shouting for attention. It’s an easy way to bring a calmer green into a tank that might already have a few punchier corals competing for the eye.
Each head branches from the base over time, so a small frag gradually turns into a cluster rather than spreading as a mat.
Care basics
- Lighting: Moderate to high. Tolerates a fairly wide range, but stronger light tends to bring out the best colour.
- Flow: Moderate and indirect. Avoid blasting it with direct, heavy flow — this can damage the polyps.
- Water chemistry: Stable calcium, alkalinity and magnesium matter more than chasing exact numbers.
- Feeding: Not required, but it will happily take larger meaty foods or powdered foods like Reef-Roids if offered.
- Placement: Give it room. Like other Euphyllia relatives, it can extend sweeper tentacles at night and sting neighbouring corals placed too close.
Supplied as 2 heads on a frag plug.
