Bob Marley Zoas

Bob Marley is a well-known, easy-to-spot morph: a dark purple centre and skirt, wrapped in a bright orange ring, with a neon green face finishing the look. It’s a genuinely vivid coral that holds its own in any zoa garden without needing perfect lighting to look good.

Like most zoas, it settles in and spreads steadily once happy, budding outward to build a mat over time.

Care basics

  • Lighting: Low to moderate. Tolerates a wide range, and colour generally holds up well.
  • Flow: Moderate to high. Keeps detritus off the polyps and supports healthy spread.
  • Water chemistry: Stable calcium, alkalinity and magnesium matter more than chasing exact numbers.
  • Feeding: Not required, but occasional fine-particle feeding can help growth and colour.
  • Handling: Contains palytoxin, as all zoanthids do. Never handle out of water, and wear gloves when fragging.

Supplied as 3+ polyps on a plug.
