Seduction People Eater Zoa

Seduction belongs to the “People Eater” group — a small, well-known family of zoanthids identified by their oversized polyps and a bright, almost neon-green mouth that’s unmistakable once you’ve seen it. Seduction itself carries a red and white base with blue undertones, broken up by streaks of red across the disc, so no two polyps look quite identical.

People Eaters grow more slowly than most zoas, which is part of why they’re sought after — colonies take real time to establish, so what you’re buying is a coral worth being patient with rather than a fast-spreading carpet piece.

Care basics

  • Lighting: Low to moderate. Colour tends to hold up well across a range of lighting, but very high intensity can wash out the contrast.
  • Flow: Moderate to high. Good flow keeps detritus off the polyps and helps prevent algae taking hold on the slower-growing mat.
  • Water chemistry: Stable calcium, alkalinity and magnesium matter more than chasing exact numbers.
  • Feeding: Not essential, but very fine particulate foods can help.
  • Handling: Contains palytoxin, as all zoanthids do. Never handle out of water, and wear gloves when fragging.
