Tutti Frutti Zoa’s

Tutti Frutti is one of those zoa names that’s been used loosely across the hobby for years, so it’s less a single fixed colour morph and more a general term for a vividly multi-coloured mix — expect a genuine variety of tones across the polyps on this plug rather than one uniform look. It’s an easy, fast-growing zoa that’s popular precisely because no two colonies look quite the same.

Like most zoas, it settles in and spreads steadily once happy, budding outward to build a mat over time.

Care basics

  • Lighting: Low to moderate. Tolerates a wide range of lighting.
  • Flow: Moderate to high. Keeps detritus off the polyps and supports steady spread.
  • Water chemistry: Stable calcium, alkalinity and magnesium matter more than chasing exact numbers.
  • Feeding: Not required, but occasional fine-particle feeding can help growth and colour.
  • Handling: Contains palytoxin, as all zoanthids do. Never handle out of water, and wear gloves when fragging.
