Indo Tri-Colour Blue-Tip Branching Frogspawn
This Indo tri-colour frogspawn earns its name honestly — bright blue tips cap green and yellow tentacles, with a yellow mouth finishing the look. Under flow, the tentacles wave and pulse in a way that makes frogspawn one of the most mesmerising corals to watch in a tank, and the colour contrast here is more distinct than most.
Frogspawn is a genuinely good beginner LPS — hardy, forgiving, and a fast grower given reasonable conditions, so it’s a solid choice if this is your first branching LPS coral.
Care basics
- Lighting: Moderate. Best placed mid-level in the tank rather than right under the light.
- Flow: Moderate, indirect. Avoid blasting it with direct heavy flow, which can damage the coral.
- Water chemistry: Stable calcium, alkalinity and magnesium matter more than chasing exact numbers.
- Feeding: Not required, but it will take larger meaty foods or powdered foods like Reef-Roids if offered.
- Placement: Frogspawn carries a moderate sting — give it space from less aggressive neighbours.
