Captain Jerk Zoa Frag
Captain Jerk shows off a genuine colour gradient — teal-green tentacles fade inward through gold-orange into a warm red centre, giving each polyp real depth rather than a single flat tone. It’s a striking, high-contrast zoa that holds its own in a mixed garden without needing to shout for attention.
Like most zoas, it’s a steady grower once settled, budding outward to build a colony over time.
Care basics
- Lighting: Low to moderate. Tolerates a wide range of lighting.
- Flow: Moderate to high. Keeps detritus off the polyps and supports healthy spread.
- Water chemistry: Stable calcium, alkalinity and magnesium matter more than chasing exact numbers.
- Feeding: Not required, but occasional fine-particle feeding can help growth and colour.
- Handling: Contains palytoxin, as all zoanthids do. Never handle out of water, and wear gloves when fragging.
Supplied as 5+ zoas on a frag plug.
