Solar Flare Cyphastrea
Deep orange-red and gold, this Cyphastrea carries a richly saturated encrusted base dotted all over with small nodular polyps that glow gold under lighting. Cyphastrea is a fast-growing SPS coral and, unusually for the category, considered easy to keep, making it a solid entry point if you’re moving into SPS for the first time.
Given the right conditions, it will continue to encrust outward and cover more surface area fairly quickly compared to many other SPS corals.
